What can I expect from a typical workout?
A workout involves a 5-10 minute warm up, a combination of cardio, weight training, abdominals, and stretching. Each workout is designed to help you burn an average of 400-500 calories. We follow the latest exercise research guidelines to make sure you are getting the most out of every workout.
Do you have classes available at other times of the day?
At this time, we offer morning classes five days per week from 5:15am - 6:15am. Please check exrxfitness.com for additional info regarding new classes.
Who would benefit most from your class?
Everyone! Our outdoor fitness class is self-paced. This means we create a new workout every day to challenge and entertain every member of the class while providing proven strength and weight loss benefits. Our outdoor fitness class is fun and great for anyone who wants an awesome workout!
I can’t run a mile. Can I still participate?
Yes! Our outdoor fitness class is designed for all levels of exercisers! Our class is self-paced and with our help you will be able to accomplish all of your exercise goals!
Do I need workout experience?
No! Our class is designed for all levels of exercisers and your trainer will be there to teach you correct form and technique.
I have knee/back problems. Will I be able to participate?
Yes! Under your professional trainer’s supervision your exercise will be modified to accommodate your specific needs.
I am 50+. Are the workouts something that would be good for me?
Yes! Our workouts are great for everyone! Our workouts are designed for you to work at your own pace and your professional trainer will guide you every step of the way!
How often should I come to class?
For best results we recommend you come 5 days a week. Our workouts are different everyday and are designed to burn calories and increase your metabolism. Exercising 5 days a week burns 30% more calories than 3 days a week. Every 7 days you workout with us you will burn the equivalent of 1 pound of body fat.
Can my children come?
We do not offer child care. If your child wants to work out with you and he or she is 12 - 15 years of age they are welcome to join us.
What should I wear?
The most important thing you need to wear is comfortable and supportive cross training shoes. For summer time workouts it is best to wear cool, light clothing such as; tank tops, light weight t-shirts, and shorts. During the winter workouts it is best to dress in a few light layers. It might be cold when we first start but you will be shedding those layers before you know it! Just remember that you can always add and take off layers but if you only wear one heavy sweatshirt you may end up shirtless!
What do I need to bring?
You will need an exercise mat, set of dumbbells, exercise/stability ball, and WATER! Pick a set of dumbbells you feel comfortable using. We advise you to start small and gradually increase weight as you progress.
What happens if it is raining?
If it is raining without thunder and lightning then we can work out under the covered area around the school. If it is thundering and lightning, it is too dangerous for us to work out and we will schedule a make-up day during our off week.
